Rare earth
Rare earth
Rare earth is the collective name for 17 elements in the periodic table, which contains Sc (Scandium), Y (Yttrium) and the 15 elements of lanthanides. We handle four types of light rare earths (Ce: Cerium, La: Lanthanum, Pr: Praseodymium and Nd: Neodymium). Rare earths are indispensable metals for optical materials and precision machineries such as televisions, computers, and smartphones. Ce is used for surface polishing of optical lenses and glass products. Nd is used in ceramic condenser and magnets for small motors in hybrid and electric vehicles, etc.
